Hey there. Here is another Wednesday with yet another good flick to watch. The movie is called Driving Miss Daisy.

The movie was released in 1989 and has all the reasons to watch with legendary actors to legendary musicians. The movie was directed by Bruce Beresford and stars young Morgan Freeman and beautiful Jessica Tandy in lead roles. The film is a musical journey which makes us sway to its melodies, which were given by famous Hans Zimmer. Now you get it? All the good reasons to watch it at once.

Diving in to the story, the scenario is set from 1940s to 1970s where racism and anti-Semitism was at its peak in America. Miss Daisy is an old widow who lives all by her herself along with her house-maid Idella with occasional visits from her son Boolie. After Miss Daisy wrecks her car in to a bad accident, Boolie decides to employ a stay-along driver at her service. Enter Mr. Freeman as Hoke.Hoke is in his 40s and promises to be patient with all of Miss Daisy’s tantrums.

Miss Daisy is an old-fashioned woman, who always keeps the household in her control and initially refuses to employ Hoke. She eventually gives in and starts enjoying his company. She begins to appreciate his work and helping nature. After few years, Idella passes away and Daisy employs Hoke as her permanent house maker and they become very good friends. The movie ends with Miss Daisy moving to a retirement home because of Alzheimers and Hoke also gets old, in spite of which he still visits her and has comforting talks with her from time to time.

The movie is a simple story of two friends who find comfort in each other and humor lingering between the boss and the chauffeur. This movie has won four Academy awards and many more awards across the globe. Morgan Freeman and Jessica Tandy bring out their best and exhibit a theatrical experience for the up-coming actors to take lessons from.
